Volunteer Presenters FAQs
Q. Can I volunteer to present at the 2009 LimmudLA Conference?
A. Yes! All of our presenters are volunteering their time, and include scholars, artists, professors, musicians, rabbis, poets, activists and performers. Everyone is welcome to submit an application to be a volunteer presenter at the conference. Learn more about some of the confirmed presenters at Conference 2009...
Q. How do I volunteer to present at the conference?
A. Register for Conference 2009 and follow the instructions during registration on how to complete the presenter application and append it to your registration record.
Q. Until when can I submit the presenter application?
A. You only have until January 20th to submit your session information so register now!
Q. If I've already registered, can I still volunteer to present?
A. Yes! You can complete a volunteer presenter application and append it to your existing registration. In the email you received confirming your registration, click on "Review your registration record or make any changes." This will open a new browser window and take you back into the registration system. Click on "Change My Registration" at the top of the page. In the pop-up window, click on "Lots of Important Info." This will take you back into your registration record, where, at the bottom of the page, you can download the presenter application and upload the completed form. Or download the form and email the completed form to Conference2009@LimmudLA.org. Be sure to include your registration confirmation number so we can append it to your registration record.
Q. I'm trying to complete the volunteer presenter form but it won't save the information. Why not?
A. If you are using a Mac, be sure you are completing the form using Adobe Acrobat Reader, not Apple's built-in Preview software. You can download the Reader for free at http://www.adobe.com. If you are not using a Mac or if you are using a Mac and the Reader and it still doesn't work, contact Presenters2009@LimmudLA.org for additional help.
Q. I've submitted my application. Now what?
A. You should hear from a member of the LimmudLA Programming Team within a week of submitting your application or sooner if additional information is needed.
