- Global History and Culture embracing chronological and regional approaches to understanding the development of Jewish cultures around the globe, both past and present
- Identity and Responsibility examining the Jewish commitment to Tikkun Olam and social action, including ethics, interfaith relations, and the relationship of religion to the problems of the secular world
- Israel discovering the breadth and depth of the political, religious, national and cultural character of the Land of Israel
- Jewish LA addressing issues unique to LA Jewish life, including gaining historical perspectives on the community and looking at local groups and organizations
- Ritual and Prayer understanding Jewish ritual and prayer through exploration and teachings of traditional and unconventional observances
- Text & Thought investigating the intellectual and textual aspects of Judaism through study of Tanach, Midrash, Mishnah, and Talmud
